Gin & Tapas: Book a taste of the sea at Iberica on hump day

Missing your hols (Viva is), well now there’s something to look forward to this Wednesday (September 4) as Iberica Manchester is hosting a tapas and gin evening.  What’s not to like.

 

Using Gin Mare, which translates as sea or sea gin (can you imagine), did you know it’s produced in a small fishing town outside Barcelona?

 

 

The evening starts at 6pm when expert mixologist Lucas Roskell will create four delish- sounding cocktails designed to complement and pair with Andalucian-inspired tapas dishes.

 

He will also guide guests through all things Gin Mare, including the inspiration behind each of the cocktails.

 

It’s £30 per person and for that you get canapes on arrival and then three gorgeous regional specialility dishes created by Michelin-star chefs in Andalucía.

 

There’s Salmojero, a traditional Cordoban chilled dish made with tomatoes, bread & olive oil topped with goats’ cheese, Sardinas Marinadas which are marinated sardines with charred aubergine purée, pine oil &crusty flatbread from Sevilla and Rabo de toro, the Executive Chef Nacho Manzano’s rich oxtail stew, creamy potato purée and baby carrots.

 

 

Diners can top the evening with a sweet surprise treat to complement the final cocktail.
