Grace Carter returns to Manchester with new music behind her

Sophie Parkin | 5th February 2020

Grace Carter’s been named one of the best new UK musicians of 2020. From supporting Dua Lipa to supporting British breakthrough artist of the year, Lewis Capaldi.

Grace is definitely one to watch and returns to Manchester with her own headline tour in the spring of this year.  Tickets are on sale now including a show at Manchester Academy in March.

She’s a self taught pianist and signer-songwriter who makes confessional pop look easy. The Brighton-based singer continues to host heartfelt tunes which express a melody to her life and what she has been through.

Straight off the back of launching the video for her latest single ‘Fired Up’, Grace Carter has given us all the gift of ‘Amnesia’.

Another slice of her new found resilience and musical direction, ‘Amnesia’ is an upbeat, punchy song that explores forgiveness and new beginnings in love and life; a perfect song to embrace as we enter a new year and new decade.

‘Amnesia’ is the song to soundtrack the path into 2020 which is hopefully a year of positive change all round.

“Amnesia is a forgiveness anthem. A lot of my songs have been about my childhood and rejection I dealt with growing up. Amnesia was written a few months ago the day after I reunited with my father. I felt lost, I had dealt with my emotions through songwriting for years but my situation remained the same. It was this day that I felt like I found clarity. Through separation I built people up to heights they could never reach therefore I was always going to be let down. Amnesia is me accepting the past and the fact everyone makes human mistakes and we’re all growing. Amnesia is about me choosing to move on.” Grace Carter
