What: Horrible Histories Bring Shakespeare to Life

When: 13th August

Where: Books on Upper Level, Selfridges, intu Trafford Centre

On Saturday 13 August, Selfridges Trafford will be bringing Shakespeare to life in the funniest and most unusual way possible – thanks to Horrible Histories!

Famous children’s brand Horrible Histories has created a brand new, specially written sketch featuring William Shakespeare himself – meeting none other than Queen Elizabeth. Watch this exclusive performance by Birmingham Stage Company and find out what happens when these great figures from history meet!

In true Horrible Histories style, the performances will be anything but dull. Expect the unexpected – with heaps of clever quips and silly songs and lots of audience participation.

The short sketches will be performed at Books on Upper Level at Selfridges Trafford, at 1pm, 2pm, 3pm, 5pm and 6pm.

The activity is part of Shakespeare Refashioned – a campaign by Selfridges to celebrate 400 years since the famous playwright’s death. Taking place all summer, the programme includes a host of in-store activities, designer collaborations and partnerships.

Upcoming activity includes in-store performances by The Lowry and workshops from RADA at Selfridges Exchange Square, a Great British Feast at Selfridges Trafford plus themed beauty events and much more.
