Hula Manchester Launches Hilarious 2016 Charity Calendar

Christie Hutchinson | 10th December 2015

hula-1Hula Manchester is continuing its charity efforts by launching a 2016 calendar, which features its bar staff in a series of funny themed photos, to represent each month of next year.

The bar tenders are well known for putting on a great show behind the Hula bar every weekend, with copious amounts of rum and flaming cocktails, like the legendary Zombie.

And as with any weekend at Hula there is plenty of tops off and fun in each of the 12 professionally shot photos in the calendar.

Photos include a Star Wars tribute in May, entitled ‘May the 4th be with you’, including Chewbaka in a fur coat and a summertime pose with tops off and grass skirts on. There’s also a Valentine’s tribute with general manager, John Gemmell, dressed in a small, pink, cupid outfit!

Abbie Blasdale, Area Manager says; “Hula is all about having fun, both in front of and behind the bar. The staff wanted to do something different to raise money for charity this year as some of our staff and their families have been personally affected by cancer. Our bartenders are renowned across Manchester for their fun loving approach to bartendering, they came up with the scenes themselves, and we hope the calendar will raise lots of money and bring a smile to people throughout 2016!”

All profits from the sale of the calendar, which is on sale now, will be donated to Cancer Research and follows on from Hula’s all-girl takeover event of the bar on 25th October, which raised over £2500.

The calendar will be priced at £5, and is available to buy from Hula Manchester or Rosylee now.
