Better known by her stage name, Nora En Pure, Swiss- South African DJ and deep house producer Daniela Di Lillo talks her upcoming set at South West Four festival in London, her non-stop summer and her musical roots.

What have you been up to at the moment?

Things have been a little non-stop recently! I am writing this from Israel, where I am playing my first ever show here tonight! I played the 3 hour DayBreak session at Tomorrowland, which was amazing! I played in Ibiza this at Ushuaïa and then heading back to Tomorrowland for Weekend 2 and to New York for Panorama NYC. I recently released my ‘Don’t Look Back’ EP, which has been doing very well and just celebrated the 100th episode of my Purified Radio show. Although it’s extremely busy, everything is very exciting and worth the sleepless nights.

Have you ever played in Manchester before?

Unfortunately, I haven’t had the chance to play in Manchester yet, but I would love to! I have heard good things about The Warehouse Project.

What do you enjoy about playing gigs in the UK?

I don’t get the chance to play in the UK very often, which is a shame, but it makes playing here very special. Crowds really know their music and they give a lot of energy!

How old were you when you first got into music and have you always been interested in the same genre?

So young that I actually can’t remember! But growing up I was more exposed to classical music and a little later to rock music. The transition into electronic music came much later and when I met some friends that had their own studios I was completely hooked.

What has been the most memorable experience of your career so far?

Playing Coachella last year was a really memorable moment for me and also playing Tomorrowland’s massive Main Stage already for the second time was really special! Playing the DayBreak session is a challenge, because you are the first one on the stage that day and you have an amazing three hour slot on this huge stage to get the crowd warmed up for the day ahead.

How would you describe your sets?

I aim to take the crowd on a journey, blending groovy with touching tracks that leave an impact on the listener. I like to play a mix of songs that I really enjoy, normally that I find while compiling my radio show, and also my own songs that show the classic Nora En Pure sound.

Have you ever played South West Four before?

I haven’t yet! It is actually my first UK festival. I am really looking forward to it, because I love playing in the UK and of course festivals are always a lot of fun.

What can people expect from your set at South West Four?

I am playing Stage 3, the’ ‘Heldeep Arena’ and to get an idea of what to expect you can check out my SoundCloud to hear episodes of my Purified Radio show!
