Set in the leafy outskirts of Macclesfield, The Tytherington Club, famed for its world class 18-hole golf course, has recently added 65 state of the art bedrooms complete with walk-in showers, 24-hour room service and a view to one of the best golf courses in Cheshire.
VIVA UK Lifestyle Magazine was among one of the first guests to stay in the new facilities, so I’m here to give our readers a first glimpse inside The Tytherington Club Hotel.
Let’s begin with the rooms themselves. We stayed in one of the new stylish superior loft rooms. Incredibly spacious with a lot of luxurious home comforts. There is free Wi-Fi throughout the hotel, although the signal drops around the spa, it is super strong around the hotel itself.
The bathrooms are the highlight of the rooms. The walk-in showers are sensational, super powerful and teamed with Elemis products, you’ll come out super clean, refreshed and smelling incredible.
There is a spa on site alongside a state-of-the-art gym and swimming pool. Whilst it is not the type of hotel you could enjoy a full spa day at – due to the lack of loungers and relaxation spaces, it is nice to drop in for a massage or facial treatment. We went for a salt scrub and hot stone massage which I thoroughly enjoyed, followed by a light lunch in the Pulse bar, before heading back to the room.
Due to COVID the menu is limited at the moment, however, the menu is perfect for room service. Great for a romantic getaway for two. Who doesn’t love a night in front of the TV with your loved one surrounded by good food? The same menu is also served in the restaurant downstairs for those that prefer a more formal atmosphere.
Our room service banquet included the Beef Burger (£8.50), thin based homemade pizza (from £7.95) and a range of sides and desserts. The Belgian waffle in particular deserves a mention, generously sized and topped with chocolate sauce and ice cream, if you have a sweet tooth then this one is for you.
The plump pillows and emperor sized beds makes for a great night’s sleep. With full air conditioning, you can choose the exact temperature of the room for an optimal night’s rest.
We awoke the next morning to breakfast in bed. My absolute favourite thing in life. This includes tea and coffee, a range of fresh pastries, fruit and juices alongside a full English breakfast. This is what Sunday mornings are made for!
Our whole experience was super smooth, and we checked out feeling refreshed – and full!
VIVA Verdict: The hotel is great for romantic getaways, golf weekends and for out of town professionals. It’s worth noting that the Pulse bar also shows sky sports, which came in very useful for the other half, especially on Derby day.
