Celebrating International Earth Day and marking the seventh anniversary of the Rana Plaza disaster, the Manchester Sustainable Fashion Forum, is hosting a debate on the way forward for fashion with a leading panel of experts including Lucy Siegel from the One Show.
It will take place at 11am on Thursday (April 23) and people can stream the content live from home. The date has been specifically chosen as it falls directly between International Earth Day on April 22, and April 24, which marks the seventh year since the Rana Plaza disaster where over a thousand people lost their lives and thousands were injured when a building, housing five clothes factories in Bangladesh, collapsed.
Panellists include, Lucy Siegle, a British journalist and writer on environmental issues, as well as a reporter on The One Show, Dr Patsy Perry a Senior Lecturer in Fashion Marketing at The University of Manchester, Alison Carlin founder of online clothing page ‘AllyPally Vintage’, Camilla Cheung founder of Wardrobe Wellbeing and Gemma Gratton founder of The Bee Thrive & Corporate Hippy.
