Luxury Skincare Brand ELEMIS Joins The Lowry Spa

The Lowry Spa has become the first establishment in the North to partner up with Number One Luxury British Skincare Brand ELEMIS.

The spa, which is located on the first floor of the five-star Lowry Hotel, features six expansive treatment rooms, a relaxation room, sauna facilities and a gym. It has been popular since its inception in 2011, but it’s new collaboration with ELEMIS may see even more visitors flock to Manchester’s leading urban spa.

The ELEMIS range is dedicated to the relationship between nature and humanity. The products promise pure results which are prescribed for individual and lifestyle needs. They also use cutting-edge science and technology by encompassing powerful biological actives available from both ‘above and below’ the earth’s surface.

Lowry Spa Manager, Joanne Massey, was thrilled with their new venture, saying: “ELEMIS is a perfect fit for the spa with their innovative treatments and as we will be the flagship of the North for ELEMIS, we hope to see many guests and customers visiting to try the vast range of treatments”.

Visiting the spa was a great experience. I wouldn’t say I’m normally a fan of massages, the idea of not being in control has always put me off. However, the massage therapists at The Lowry made me feel completely at ease from the start. They were knowledgeable of the products they were using, whilst remaining friendly and making sure everyone felt their best.

We were welcomed into an immaculate changing room, which I half-wished had cubicles inside, but was empty anyway, (and you’re about to be near enough naked in front of your masseuse so what’s the difference). We were then taken into one of the relaxation rooms, offered a drink and had a glimpse through magazines whilst having the chance to put our feet up.

The massage rooms were extremely modern and chic. The smell of the ELEMIS products was the first thing that hit me – light and floral, definitely calming. I tested out the nutrient-rich ‘Thousand Flower Detox Wrap’, which uses Green Tea Balm to cleanse and nourish the skin. I couldn’t tell you whether the massage lasted 20 minutes or 2 hours- I was in such a nirvana state, time stood still.

We were then served a delightful little afternoon tea, including finger sandwiches and colourful cakes, before our facial treatments. It’s definitely worth paying a little extra to get you into a full pampering atmosphere.

The ELEMIS Superfood Pro-Radiance Facial has been clinically proven to leave skin plumper, radiant and lit up. Rich in superfoods and essential minerals, the treatment is designed to pack stressed, dull skin with energising detoxifying actives. It lasted for one-hour and I could both see and feel the differences afterwards.

A-Listers Lily James, Catherine Zeta-Jones and Jourdan Dunn are amongst the celebrities booking in for a customised treatment prior to appearing on the red carpet.

A place you can relax whilst your hubby’s at the football, or a complete pampering day with friends and family, the Lowry Spa has packages to suit everyone. There’s even ones catered especially for men or for pregnant women.

I left the Lowry Spa with a full stomach, a soft face and the calmest demeanour in town. Even Manchester’s rainy weather couldn’t stop me smiling, and that’s not something that happens often.
