MAD Loves Cocktails

MAD have some amazing events coming up for you, especially with the Manchester Loves Cocktails festival.
The main bars taking place within the festival are Tusk, The Fitzgerald and Hula Manchester and they have some great fun events planned.
Kicking off the festival is Gin Safari over at Tusk on Monday 8th August at 6pm.
At the gin safari you will learn about the history of African-inspired gin, Whitley Neill, the inspriration and also get some expert tuition on gin, botanicals and tonics, perfect for you gin fans. You even get to drink it straight, in a G&T and in a selection of Tusks delicious cocktails, and get the chance to win a bottle of the gin. Definitely a perfect night for you gin lovers.
Tusk are also offering 50% off pizza when you buy a Whitley Neill G&T or cocktail, Monday 8th – Wednesday 10th August, who can resist 50% off pizza? We can’t!

Following on from Tusks Gin Safari, is The Fitzgerald presenting Lawless on Tuesday 9th August at 7pm.
With a private screening of Lawless (the true story of the infamous Bondurant Brothers: bootlegging siblings who made a run for the American Dream in Prohibition-era Virginia) you can enjoy a welcome drink from Hudson and free popcorn. The Fitzgerald definitely knows how to have a good time, with a masterclass with Hudson on Thursday 11th August at 6pm.
Their tasting session and masterclass will entice you into becoming a whiskey connoisseur (if youre already not of course!) with their full variety of Hudson’s bourbon and whiskeys. With differenet tastes from the expressively woody and superbly smoky Baby Bourbon to the vibrant Manhattan Rye and the rich and peppery four-grain there will be something you will love.
As well as tasting the lovely whiskey and bourbon, youll also learn all about its history from its beginning and try all three blends.

Was the masterclass at The Fitzgerald not enough? Stick around for the Bourbon & Blues – a whiskey fuelled gig, following on from the masterclass at 8pm till late!
They launch into a whiskey-fulled gig with American blues with rock n roll, followed with an after-party with Tobin Lochrie.
Didn’t get enough whiskey earlier on in the day? Fill up on more with cocktails and lots of dancing.

Finishing off this amazing festival is Hula with the Official Manchester Loves Cocktails closing party on Sunday 14th August at 8pm-3am.
For this closing down party, Hula takes over Rosylees fabulous terrace and transform it into a tropical paradise for a rum-fuelled beach party, what else would we expect?
Santa Teresa Linaje and Hula bring the rum and lots of fun and they definitely recommend Tiki Tops.
You should excpect beach games, palm trees, deck hairs and we hope some sunshine!
Once the party gets into full swing, after 10pm youll head down into the basement bar to carry on with the usual tiki debauchery.
