Manchester talent represents the city at the National Festival of Making
| 22nd April 2018
The National Festival of Making will be returning THIS MAY, with a variety of the most talented makers representing Manchester.
It is an event in which makers from across the nation have the chance to display their creations to the public, with anything from art to food, and had over 30,000 attendees last year.
The festival will take place over the weekend of the 12th – 13th May 2018 in Blackburn, Lancashire.
Co-Founder and Director of the festival, Wayne Hemingway, says:
“The UK is blessed with an ever-growing community of makers, developing brand new designs as well as reviving traditional products from within our diverse communities, meaning that hand-made markets really are a treasure trove for shoppers, collectors and foodies.
“It is here that we gather together many of the very best makers from around Lancashire and beyond to create an unrivalled sense of occasion, as well as an unparalleled opportunity to find the unexpected item of clothing art or homeware we never knew we needed.”
Makers and products from Manchester include:
- Cracking Good Food – They will link up with Fareshare, a national charity that seeks to avoid unnecessary food waste, to lead family-friendly cooking workshops to make delicious meals together. To find out more, visit their website: https://www.crackinggoodfood.org
