Bodybuilding Warehouse have brought the manufacturing of a brand new protein bar to Manchester.

A sports nutrition supplier has become only the 3rd company in the UK to create bespoke, state of the art protein bars in house. Bodybuilding Warehouse operate out of a 21,000 sq ft state-of-the-art facility at Trafford Park and already manufactures its own brand of sports supplements including protein shakes and snacks, stimulants, fat burners, post and pre-workout supplements, as well as vitamins and minerals.

This month the company have announced the launch of a new protein bar, Premium LUX Protein Flapjack, that will be manufactured in house and will be distributed via the website, with further potential for contract manufacturing.

Managing director Kieran Fisher said: “There’s only 2 other companies in the UK who manufacture protein bars in house as it’s a truly difficult, capital intensive, and exceptionally hard thing to get right. We absolutely knew we had the passion to do it– 99% of the products we sell are manufactured right here and we’re incredibly proud to add the Premium LUX Protein Flapjack to that list too now.”

Bodybuilding Warehouse launched in 2008 from Kieran’s front room selling branded sports supplements, before moving to a 5,000 sq ft space in 2010 and beginning to launch their own brand of products. The success of this has moved them to their current 21,000 sq ft facility in the heart of Manchester, where they now employ over 30 people.

Kieran said “We pride ourselves on quality. We’re not a brand about fancy packaging or sponsoring people who don’t make a difference. We support true athletes, we love our passionate customers and we’re driven to create the very best sports nutrition the world has to offer, right here in Manchester.”
