Mancunian Witches & Wizards Unite! Lucardo Launches ‘University of Magic’ Escape Room

Calling all budding witches and wizards, grab your wands because you’re about to be transported into a world of Magic, and you’ll need your best spells and all the potions you can carry in order to solve this puzzle, smash the syllabus and gain your place at the prestigious University of Magic!

Lucardo Escape Rooms in the Northern Quarter have launched its latest real-life escape room, the University of Magic – an education of the highest order, filled with dark arts, potion class, and spell casting – giving you everything you need to pass your entrance exam. Witches and wizards will have one hour to embark on a magical journey, battling with dark forces to hopefully secure a coveted place at the University.

The brains behind the new challenge at the Great Ancoats-based attraction promise it will be nothing short of spellbinding. Manchester magicians will don a cape and wand to indulge in sorcery, before attempting to find their way out of the enchanted room using dragon potions, the hairs of a unicorn and their own deductive powers to solve its mysteries.

 

VIVA were invited down to experience this immersive, magical journey for ourselves, and escaped with 13 minutes to spare! We don’t want to give too much away because this is truly something you need to experience for yourself, but between us we’ve tackled a fair few escape rooms around the city, and this was by far the groups favourite!

All of our team loved the experience, everything from dressing up in full wizard attire, to hunting for magical clues, and working together to solve the puzzles. If you and your team manage to escape in time, we’ll see you at University next term for some magical mayhem.

Other escape rooms run by Lucardo at their premises at Virginia House on Great Ancoats Street include World War II thriller Espionage, The Dream, Gem Runner and Virginia House.

Gem Runner sees teams tasked with pulling off a bank heist, while The Dream requires gamers to find the winning Lottery numbers before their chance slowly slips away.

Murder-mystery whodunnit Virginia House gives teams 60 minutes to help catch a serial killer before the next victim meets their fate.
