For those looking for a fun-filled Bank Holiday weekend, the MAD Group has a fantastic line-up of great music events to enjoy. From hedonistic Tiki madness with Gareth Brooks and a special appearance from DJ Darka at Hula, to live music from local musicians at The Fitzgerald and the best RnB, Hip-hop and House Djs at Walrus.

13072837_1171988639500630_6196091372925778509_o copyThe original and the still the best Tiki experience in Manchester, Hula Manchester has a weekend of crazy, hedonistic fun lined up for the Bank Holiday weekend, kicking off with Heavy Jams from Greg Turner on Thursday 28th April – a mixture of hiphop, RnB, funk and soul to get Zombied to.

On Friday and Saturday, resident DJ and man about town, Gareth Brooks will host his legendary party nights, which promise to be two of the most fun-filled and craziest parties of the weekend – get in quick though as the queue is usually around the block!

On Bank Holiday Sunday, a Hula legend returns for one night only. DJ Darka is back from the big smoke to host a special old-skool party night, with 90’s hip hop and RnB grooves to finish the weekend off Hula-style.

If you’re still going by Bank Holiday Monday, Bad Osiris will be on the decks spinning feel good vibes from 10pm and with 2 for £10 cocktails, everyday is a holiday at Hula Manchester.

Get 2 for £10 on selected cocktails, and 2 Heineken for £5 on Thursday 28th April, and Friday 29th April between 5pm and 9pm.

On Bank Holiday Monday a special cocktail will be on 2 for £10 until midnight.

If you like your live music as much as you like a DJ, then The Fitzgerald is the place to be this Easter bank holiday weekend – with everything from Acid Jazz to Disco, Funk and Soul.

One of the best live music venues in the Northern Quarter, The Fitzgerald plays host to some of Manchester’s best new music with a weekly Open Mic night for upcoming artists and “Live at the Fitz’ on Thursdays – with more established musicians playing an eclectic mix of everything from jazz, to blues, folk, funk and soul.

Thursday 28th April will  play host to the Lucy Mae duo. Lucy Mae is delving into the original roots of modern music and creating sounds that show the old and new go hand in hand. Atmospheric, ambient and soulful. FREE entry.

Following this a guest DJ will be spinning tunes until the early hours and there’s 2 for £10 cocktails all night!

On the Friday and Saturday Emma Clair will spin her legendary electro-swing beats for a great party atmosphere and on the Bank Holiday Sunday, Alex Cardwell AKA ‘Sly Fandango’ will hit the decks until the early hours, with an extended license to until 2am because, well, a little party never killed nobody.

And its not just the music that’s on point, The Fitzgerald has an extensive cocktail menu with quality, hand crafted cocktails and premium spirits.

walrus-10-1Walrus is a Northern Quarter favourite, with a roster of some of the best DJs in Manchester taking over the main bar and newly refurbished basement club every weekend, for one of the best party atmospheres in the city.

Kicking the weekend off in style, Thursday 28th will see Gareth Brooks taking over the main bar with 90’s hip-hop and RnB anthems ‘til 2am.

On Friday resident DJ Emma Viva will be spinning her funky house and party classics in the main bar and  Bloc Party will take over the basement club with its weekly mix of ratchet R&B, hip hop bangers and dance floor fillers.

Saturday is going to be huge! With Mr Kenzo pumping out RnB classics, anthems and rap in the main bar. While Robb Rocks will host the newly refurbished bar with RnB, house and garage to shake your booty to.

The Bank Holiday Sunday Special has special guest DJ and Hula favourite SlowPo filling the basement club with Hip Hop, House and Garage, while resident Larry Jones takes the decks on the main bar.

Walrus hosts the 5 O’ Clock Club Sunday – Thursday meaning 2 for £10 on selected cocktails, 2 Heineken for £5 and bottles of house wine for £9.95 between 5pm and 10pm.
