The Eyewear Stylist Launches in Manchester: As anyone who has ever been in the market for a new pair of glasses will know, finding the right pair can be nothing short of a nightmare.
From struggling to see yourself through the tinted lens of a pair of sunglasses to not recognising the person looking back at you when searching for your first pair of optical frames, it can be both daunting and costly, and that’s when you get it right!
Founded by qualified Dispensing Optician and trained personal stylist Dan Scott, The Eyewear Stylist promises to solve all your shopping dilemmas providing expert eyewear advice not only on what frames will suit your face, but what will enhance your overall look and style too.
The service is available to those looking for sunglasses, optical eyewear, or who simply have a desire to wear great glasses.
The hour-long bespoke consultation looks at a myriad of factors to find the perfect eyewear for you including analysis of the wearer’s face shape, features, skin tone, personal style, personality, and usage occasion.
A carefully edited range of frames and lenses from some of world’s best independent brands, many of which are exclusive to The Eyewear Stylist, are also available, although there’s no commitment to make a purchase.
Featured brands include Feb31st, Kirk & Kirk, Ahlem, Vinylize and Etnia Barcelona with frames made from a wide range of sustainable and premium materials including ethically sourced wood (approved by the FSC), 23 Carat gold-plated metals, Japanese titanium, Italian cotton-based acetate, coffee beans and upcycled vinyl records. Lenses are provided by Zeiss and Tokai.
Speaking on the launch, Founder of The Eyewear Stylist, Dan Scott, said: “Shopping for glasses can be a minefield. There are many factors that determine what suits an individual; it’s not as simple as knowing the shape of your face. Then of course there’s the challenge of being able to see your own reflection properly, particularly if shopping for sunglasses.
“As a qualified stylist and Dispensing Optician, I’m pleased to be able to help customers understand what works for them. It’s not an opinion but a science, meaning that you can be confident of stepping away knowing exactly what will enhance your look. The right glasses can quite literally give you a facelift.”
Located at Media City UK, Scott has already been helping a number of the media hub’s visiting personalities find the perfect eyewear, whilst working with leading media titles and brands to style and complement seasonal fashion shoots.
“When I explain to people what I do they immediately ask for direction on what would suit them,” Scott added. “It’s a perfectly natural response because the truth is, very few of us know. I’ve not had one client leave me without feeling more confident in how they look and feel when wearing glasses.”
The Eyewear Stylist bespoke consultations cost £75pp including face shape and feature analysis, colour analysis, personal profiling and styling. A wide selection of frames and lenses from the world’s leading independent brands is also available with prices ranging from £150 to £1000.
And booking a consultation or making an appointment to view The Eyewear Stylist’s exclusive collection of frames and lenses couldn’t be easier. Home appointments are available upon request and within a 15-mile radius. A roadshow of key UK cities is also in the pipeline with interested parties invited to get in touch.
