No Filter Needed, an on demand hair and makeup app, is set to launch in Manchester this spring, offering customers a luxury salon experience from the comfort of their own surroundings.

Essentially it is the Uber of the beauty world, but with better service, dedicated professionals and luxury products. It has been designed with busy women in mind and with a few short clicks you will be able to request available stylists via their app. Once the stylist has confirmed you will receive a notification of their acceptation and you can get excited for some high quality pampering! .

Customers will be able choose from a menu of fashion-led hair and makeup styles, suitable for a range of special occasions, events or nights out. The No Filter Needed team are hand-picked, highly trained, experienced professionals selected for their talent and high levels of customer service.

This amazing business will be available to residents around Greater Manchester and Cheshire, before hopefully expanding to include more popular locations.

We got our glam on with No Filter Needed for two different occasions to see what they had to offer. I first got my hair and make-up done at my house by Joshua Bates and Janine Dixon, the founders of the business along with managing director Daniel Allman. I have never had my make-up or hair professionally done before, so I wasn’t too sure what to expect. However, Joshua and Janine were so nice and clearly very knowledgeable in their area that I felt at ease instantly. Joshua was a God at hair, easily taming my birds nest, without once hurting me or making me flinch and within 40 mins my hair was silky, smooth and beautifully curled.

Meanwhile Janine worked her magic on my face, somehow being able to create a vision of art out of my lifeless looking face, whilst keeping a steady hand as Joshua blow dried my hair. I am still not sure how she managed this, as I mess up my own makeup at the slightest movement, so kudos to her!

As they say, time flies when you are having fun and before I knew my transformation was complete. The whole process was very relaxing and I was amazed by the results, we then had some cheeky selfies and I got ready for my grand entrance to the airport dressed to the nines looking sassy as hell!

The next time I had the pleasure of meeting Joshua and Janine again was at an awards ceremony. They had tirelessly transformed 5 of us girls from gloom to glam in only a few short hours!

On this occasion I came with my hair dry and Joshua quickly got to work curling it. I opted for curly hair both times, because mine is naturally very straight and I really wanted it to be bouncy and voluminous like a celebrities. This is exactly the look I got both times and I was in love all thanks to Joshua!

For my makeup, I got a slightly smokey eye with some gorgeous curly lashes, full coverage on my face, with some epic contour and a rouge lip to match my dress. What I loved about this look was that it was sexy, subtle and allowed my dress to shine through- plus it looked great in photographs if I do say so myself.
