O’Niell’s has taken over the old harvester in Manchester’s Printworks with their brand new state of the art bar. The huge space has been completely revamped with a stunning decor and amazing atmosphere.

The chain bar is known for its classic Irish drinks and food, great music and live sports. Essentially, if you are looking for a place to go with mates for a Guinness and a game, then this is definitely the place for you!

The prices for food and drink at O’Neill’s are super affordable, with a burger and a drink coming in at a mere £7.75!

Their menu is well rounded and is guaranteed to please all your friends and family. They have everything from stone-baked pizzas and Irish stew to 21-day aged steaks and stacked burgers.

They also do tapas style starter, including chicken wings, quesadillas and potato skins. Starters can be purchased individually or you can 3 for £12 or 5 for £18.

I tried their potato skins with bacon and cheese, the quesadillas and the chicken strips. All were absolutely delicious! The potato skins were my favourite as they had that perfect crunch on the outside then fluffy potato on the inside.

For mains, I chose the big double beef N’ cheeseburger for £9.75. This contains a beef patty, beef brisket, cheese and onion rings sandwiched between a delicious burger bun. This also came with coleslaw, a little bit of salad and some chips.

To be honest I was a little disappointed with the burger as the beef patty was a little tough and so it didn’t taste great. However, the chips, beef brisket and coleslaw were delicious.

My partner, who I went with, tried the Bird and rack meal, priced at £10.95. This came with half a roast chicken and half a rack of bbq glazed ribs. It was also served with chips, onion rings and house slaw.

I was astonished at the quantity of food you got with this meal and it was all cooked well, with great flavour. The only thing that could have made this slightly better is if the ribs were a little more tender. However, for less than £11 this was well worth the money!

Overall, I love the new O’Neill’s as it felt homely, they had some great music playing and possibly the biggest tv showing of the match I have ever seen. So, if you are looking for somewhere cheap but full of character, then O’Neill’s in the Printworks is definitely a place to try.
