Paloma Faith Live at Manchester Arena

Last night Paloma Faith performed in Manchester Arena, wowing crowds with her faultless singing voice, lively music and strong messages

Opening the show was Xamvolo a Jazz-influenced R&B soul singer. Xamvolo hit all the right notes, show casing his amazing vocal range in every song.

However, the main star of the night was Paloma Faith, who recently gave birth to her first child. She rose from the floor of the stage singing to ‘The Architect’ dressed in a bright purple two-piece suit with huge sparkly heels on and surrounded by a very holographic set!

Despite the very 60’s theme to the night, the night was full of her more recent music, with a couple of classics thrown in to please the crowd. In between songs Paloma talked about a variety of issues in society Including body confidence. She strongly believes in the importance of body confidence saying “It’s amazing what our body’s do for us!” Something inspiring for everyone in the audience, especially the new mother’s out there who she was reaching out to.

She also addressed the attacks that have previously happened in the arena and all over the world, claiming that she believes ‘world war 3 is going to happen’ and carried on to argue that ‘You can’t go around killing people and not expect a backlash’ She then proceeded to sing her song about the political issues, aptly named ‘World War 3’. This was probably one of my favourite songs of the night!

To finish the show Paloma ended on ‘Only love can hurt like this’ before coming back for an encour song.

Now, I was a fan before I came to the show, however, my friend wasn’t too sure what her music was like but I am happy to announce that the concert has completely converted her into a Paloma Faith and Xamvolo fan! I also have to say my love for her has grown massively!
