Philip Quinn (ex – Little Volcanoes) and his full band are about to hit the stage for their first Manchester show on 19th of May @ Gullivers, Manchester. First, he’s kicking things off with the release of the first of three singles ‘No Wonder’ taken from his new forthcoming album to be released later in the year.

New Release

‘No Wonder’ has been described as a ‘dark disco indie rocker’ that somehow mixes 90s alt rock, uplifting 70s disco and a dash of dark, dramatic lyrical imagery that you would normally associate with ‘She’s Lost Control’ era Joy Division.

Bio

When Philip’s band Little Volcanoes broke up after 8 years, he and Sam Packwood – Little Volcanoes’ drummer, decided to continue working together and came up with the low key ‘Liquid Picture’ album released on local Manchester label Longevity Records in 2014.

Philip’s backing group has included some name musicians in the past and present including Charlie Salt (Blossoms), Olly Smith (King Harvest & The Weight), Kyoko Swann (PINS) and Julie Gordon (Happy Mondays), with Joe Beech coming in on bass guitar later on. That album gained them a nascent, but loyal fan base that continues to grow and after nearly 18 months in the making, Phil is ready to present his new gleaming, genre-defying songs that will make up his new album mid-2016.
