Reflections of Reflections: Penthouse bliss in Coolangatta

It’s been 8 years since VIVA Magazine last stayed at Reflections. This majestic resort which consists of two luxury apartment towers, is situated on beautiful Coolangatta Beach on the southern end the Gold Coast, which is Australia’s fastest developing city.

When we knew that we were returning to Australia this year we just had to come back and spend some more time in this beautiful little pocket of paradise.

In the years we have been away, I’m happy to say that the beautiful resort has not lost any of its wow factor. The sprawling outlook which has one of the best vantage points I’ve ever experienced reaches all the way to Surfers Paradise and is absolutely breathtaking.

Pleasingly, the surrounding area and local community has developed at a steady pace and now offers more options for holiday makers looking to dine or enjoy a wine or coffee beach side. The shopping options are now plentiful which was great as there is nothing quite like a stroll around the shops after a hard days sunbathing.

These apartments are the perfect choice for guests seeking a luxury break on an absolute beachfront resort. The laidback ambiance of Coolangatta reflects throughout the two towers and you can’t help but breath in the sea air and relax.

The apartment was well equipped with everything a holiday maker could wish for, meaning we really never wanted for anything during our time at our penthouse apartment. It was all too easy.

A huge hit with travellers on both a national and international scale, Reflections is just a short 5 minute drive from the Gold Cost Airport. Making this resort the perfect choice for anyone taking advantage of the great deals that many of the new up and coming airlines that fly into Gold Coast Airport are now offering.

Reflections can boast one of the best placements for some of the unrivalled surf breaks in Australia and surfers flock to this beautiful location all year round.

There are accommodation options that suit all kinds of travellers, These include one, two and three bedroom apartments plus the luxurious skyhomes and penthouses which feature superb ocean views and stylish furnishings.

The penthouses and sky homes have always been a favourite with us at VIVA and on this particular trip we stayed in the 3 bedroom sub penthouse in Reflection Tower Two. 

Located on the 19th floor, this spacious 3 bedroom, 3 bathroom penthouse has it’s own private balcony to relax on and soak up the stunning ocean views. 

As you walk into the luxury apartment you are instantly overcome by a state of zen. The Asian fusion decor is impressive and the small details such as tribal drums as bedside tables and the authentic art hanging in the rooms ties everything together seamlessly.

VIVA particularly appreciated the main bedroom with ensuite which boasted a bath looking out across Coolangatta Beach. The perfect way to relax and unwind on a dreamy holiday evening .

For those times that we could bear to tear ourselves away from the beautiful apartment there were numerous resort facilities to take advantage of which included the heated pool overlooking the Pacific ocean, the spa and sauna, a fully equipped fitness room and even a pool table in the executive lounge. 

Reflections offers full undercover parking to store vehicles, bikes, surfboards or any other toys that a happy holiday maker can bring along.

It was another unforgettable stay for us at Reflections Coolangatta Beach which is starting to really feel like home! Should VIVA be lucky enough to visit this magnificent part of the world again we will be making our first stop at Reflections and we strongly recommend you do the same.
