REVIEWED: Becky Hill at Manchester Academy

We went along to review the highly anticipated show of Becky Hill. She was back in town this week performing on stage at Manchester Academy to a room packed full of party goers and fans of her music.
Last year, the artist who shot to fame on The Voice, sang outside the venue after she was forced to cancel a sold-out show due to a burst water pipe. At the time 200 fans came to see her perform her acoustically.
We waited in anticipation of one of the best vocalists around right now and the artist certainly didn’t disappoint. The night was full of good tunes while excited fans – hundreds more – created an intimate atmosphere as they finally got to see her perform the tracks that she’s most famous for.
Becky took to the stage of her sold out Manchester show wearing a glammed-up green Adidas tracksuit.
Her cool and collected self greeted the crowd with a “How you guys doing?” and then it was full steam ahead.
Following on from the nightmare of her arranged previous gig, you could see she was raring to go and ready to make her fans happy. From the first note her voice was second to none.
She’s come a long way since her debut on The Voice, and her stage presence fully shown this.
The night was an hour long mix up of old and new tunes, some of her biggest chart hits and best debuts.
From her encapsulating Sunrise In The East, you could clearly see it was when Piece of Me and Back and Forth with DJ and producer MK, Afterglow and Gecko (overdrive) the crowd and phones all seemed to burst out.
The room had an amazing feeling about it, everyone in the room felt like real devoting fans which was lovely to be a part of.
She also proudly repeated about her Merchandise, stating she had always dreamed of her own merch and to buy it, to be fair – it looked very cool!
A snap with the crowd for her Instagram and a ‘thank you’ to her devoted fans, and then she was off. A rising star in her own rights, Becky Hill is one to watch out for.
