REVIEWED: Fuel up with Aldeli’s new post-gym workout menu

Jessica Ward | 13th May 2019

A firm favourite amongst local’s, Aldeli in Alderley Edge has been serving up tasty food since 2011. With the best Reubens in town, this café attracts foodies from far and wide.

Now, Aldeli have released a brand-new menu designed specifically for the gym goer, packed with nutrients and only the best freshest ingredients to help refuel, repair and revitalise.

With that being said, we got our freshly squatted VIVA bums down to Aldeli to bring you the exclusive first look!

What we love about the Aldeli Post Workout menu, is that all the dishes state how many calories are in each dish – ideal for those watching their calorie intake. Plus, each dish is under 500 calories.

We tried a range of dishes, and we were so surprised as each dish was full of fresh, clean flavours, a far cry from the dry, dull and bland food we often associate with diet and healthy eating.

The smokey beans and poached eggs were my personal favourite. The homemade beans are cooked with slices of beef sausage were incredible, a far cry from canned beans and sausages we buy from the supermarket.

Another great dish was the Huevos Rancheros, and something you will not find anywhere else in Alderley Edge. Two fried eggs with warmed salsa, black beans & feta served on a corn tortilla wrap. VIVA pro tip – to complete this dish be sure to order a side of Avocado! You’ll thank us later.

The Salmon and Spinach scrambled eggs were seasoned perfectly. Stacked on a bagel with diced tomatoes this dish is perfect if you need something to keep you fuller for longer.

For a filling post workout light bite, the breakfast parfait is the one for you. Natural Greek yogurt with cinnamon spiced nuts, pumpkin, chia & flax seeds with mixed berries.

VIVA Verdict: We left with full stomachs and a guilt free conscious. This post gym menu gets our full approval! Besides, we all need a little motivation to get us through a gruelling gym sesh, and what better way to treat yourself and stay on track than with a visit to Aldeli?
