Chaos descended upon Manchester Academy as event management company Worried About Henry (WAH) present and all-star bass line up to the Manchester Academy rooms.

From chart house pioneer Redlight to Drum and Bass super group SASASAS headlining, everything was to play for in the famous Manchester venue. Open across two rooms WAH focused on Drum & Bass, Bassline & Bass House. It was the perfect introduction to the city for the fresh-faced fresher’s which arrive each year.

Over 25 artists were scheduled over the two rooms including a special showcase for local artists. Warming up was influential producer and DJ, Redlight. With an armoury of tunes Redlight packed the venue out with a strong focus on Bass House moulded with his signature sound. Following Redlight was Drum & Bass veteran DJ Zinc. Blending both styles Zinc showcased tunes on his Bass focused label Bingo Bass and blended his Drum & Bass tunes at the end building an impressive atmosphere within the venue.

Stealing the show was Drum & Bass legend Dimension. After several years of commercial & underground success Dimension has managed to hit the sweet spot for an event like WAH. With a range of tunes, Dimensions powerful aesthetic makes him the perfect booking for the Manchester Venues. Spinning for an hour Dimension delivered a masterclass in a genre he has perfected. As his set came to an end the crowd were begging for one more tune as one hour is simply never enough.

After a night of talented artists WAH knew what Manchester wanted and delivered It perfectly. For an event aimed for fresher’s WAH understood its audience and delivered a fantastic event for all to enjoy. Operating up and down the country with events in Liverpool, Brighton, Leeds and more keep your eyes out for the next WAH event near you.
