Iconic singer, songwriter, producer, and performer Rick Astley is back with his first new studio album in over a decade entitled “50” set for release in June. Rick will be joining the Ladies Lunch line-up to support the children’s charity and perform his new single “Keep Singing” (available now) along with a couple of Rick’s known hits. The Voice winner Kevin Simms will also be performing at the event.
Key 103’s famous Ladies Lunch in aid of Cash for Kids is celebrating its 10th anniversary on Friday 10th June at Mecure Manchester Piccadilly Hotel.
The afternoon hosted by Key 103’s breakfast show presenter Chelsea Norris is attended by over 400 women from across the region to raise thousands for disadvantaged children living in Greater Manchester.
Speaking to Key 103’s Mike and Chelsea this morning Rick spoke of how he was looking forward to the event, “Ladies and lunch, what’s not to love?!” he said.
The event come ahead of the release of Rick has a new album which out on 17th June.
Event host Chelsea Norris commented, “I’m so excited to add Rick Astley to line-up I’m a huge fan and I’m sure he’ll be popular with all the ladies.
“I can’t believe we’re celebrating 10 years of this event. It’s a lot of fun and I’m honoured to have helped raised thousands for disadvantaged children across Manchester.”
All the money is raised locally and spent locally and goes to children and young people throughout the region with mental, physical or sensory disabilities; with behavioural or psychological disorders; living in poverty or situations of deprivation; or suffering through distress, abuse or neglect.
