Say Aloha to Mahiki- The Manchester Bar All Women Should Know About

Manchester is home to some of the most creative and hard-working women win the UK, and where better to celebrate this than ‘Honolulu Honeys’- a weekly Thursday night get together with ‘Manchester’s finest femme fatales’ in the city centre’s Mahiki cocktail bar.

Recently opened just last month by football mogul Gary Neville, the bar boasts an illustrious interior, flourished by Versace wallpaper, alongside Hawaiian inspired decor including totem poles and luscious greenery, with cocktails to match. Guests could sip on award-winning concoctions within the venue’s ‘Lanai Lounge’, including the club’s signature ‘Mahiki’ cocktail which is made up of Pampero Especial and a hint of vanilla, shaken with pear and strawberry puree, lemon, sugar and Crème de la Fraise, served long and topped with Scavi & Ray sparkling wine.

It’s not just drinks guests can enjoy either. Mahiki proudly serve an Asian inspired menu including sashimi, steaks and sushi, alongside home favourites like sweet potato fries, perfect for pairing with an icy, tropical rum- which Mahiki serves by the bucketload. Whats more, the venue contains its award-winning bar, a restaurant and the Aloha Party Room, a perfect club venue, meaning everything you need for the perfect night out is all under one roof.

The launch of ‘Honolulu Honeys’, which took place on the 16th November, pulled out all the stops to ensure its selected guests enjoyed the full potential of the venue, with all women receiving their first three drinks for free, as well as a collaboration with Kiehls skincare (did somebody say free goodie bags?) and Barn It, a Manchester based company offering free dry styles to all guests- what more could you ask for on a girl’s night out?

Men shouldn’t feel too left out either, as Thursday’s ‘Honolulu Honeys’ also offers men their first drink for free! In addition to this, the venue also provides free entertainment including a ‘selfie mirror’ allowing guests to delve into a chest of fancy dress and snap some full length pictures throughout the night, as well as an in-house DJ adding to the summery vibes of the venue.
