Selfridges, Zara & Next Amongst The Big Winners At intu Trafford Centre 2015 Retail Awards

On Thursday 8 October, intu Trafford Centre held its annual award ceremony at the glamorous Midland Hotel.

With Key 103’s Mike and Chelsea hosting proceedings and actors Danny Miller and Daniel Jillings, who are also co-founders of Once Upon a Smile, intu Trafford Centre’s charity partner, amongst the great and the good handing out awards – the whose who of the intu Trafford Centre retail industry descended in high hopes of collecting some silverware.

Selfridges were awarded the highly desirable intu Trafford Centre store of the year, Zara received womenswear store of the year and Next picked up menswear retailer of the year.

Awards also went to Boots which collected the Health and Beauty retailer of the year award, Jeweller of the year went to Goldsmiths, Kurt Geiger won footwear retailer of the year and Lakeland picked up the award for homeware and specialist retailer of the year. The award for best new store went to shoe retailer Russell Bromley.

Awards also went to intu Trafford Centre’s restaurants and tourist attractions. Odeon won the award for Leisure attraction of 2015, the restaurant and bar of the year award went to Nando’s and Costa Coffee picked up fast food and coffee house of the year.

Several individuals were also heralded for their great customer service and dedication to their job – Gus Boateng from Nando’s and Allison Elliot from Hotel Chocolat each received the Outstanding Customer Service Award.

And the final winner of the night was Marks and Spencer won the award for Corporate responsibility.
