Stella Grundy, Aldo Zilli, Karin Albinsson and Mother Goose Gets Eaten By Werewolves…

Early Birds | 13th May 2015

Earlybirds2

Tuesday 21st April was another great show, what with the Viva Hour, Caz’s Fatal Film Hour and Misty Ray and Diamond Lane joining the Birds LIVE in the studio to bring you the weather, traffic and travel. There were also three great surprise guests at FAB Radio studios. No, not the Queen (It could have been, after all it was her birthday!) but Ciaran Griffiths and Darren Jones from the Bowden School of Acting, along with the lovely photographer, Karin Albinsson, crashing the Early Birds show. If you want to see ‘Mother Goose Getting Eaten by Werewolves’ get yourself to Sale Waterside Arts Centre on the 10th and 11th of July to check out the amazing play put together by the boys. The Birds will be there and, if you keep tuned-in to our drive-time show – every Tuesday live from three o’clock on FAB Radio International – you could win a tickets to this FAB-ulous play.

Were wolf

The Birds really do have the best guests live at five o’clock and on Tuesday 28th April, the singularly gorgeous Stella Grundy joined us. The producer of The Rise and Fall of a Northern Star popped in with her exclusive new album, on the very day of its release – no less! So yep, you heard it first on The Early Birds Show and it’s a fantastic album. Get your copy now.

Caz had a “wonderful, funny and different night out” when she went to see Stella in the Mad Manc Cabaret at the Dancehouse Theatre on May, describing Stella’s performance as “Stellar” but adding that “there were plenty of fantastic artists in their own right.” Make sure you don’t miss the next one by following the event on Facebook.

Aldo zilli

The Birds were all excited and chirping away to the wonderful celebrity chef, Aldo Zilli, on the phone, who was here in Manchester on Thursday 30th April launching his brand new Spring Menu in his amazing restaurant, San Carlo Cichetti. Food-loving Bird Emma was there to taste it all, of course and where was Caz? In training for the Early Birds’ Next Challenge – THE BIRDS RUNNING! Check out the next Early Birds column to see who wins this one. Until next time, ‘Tweet Tweet.’
