This year has been different to say the least, but I’m sure we’re all looking forward to saying ‘goodbye’ to 2020 and ‘hello’ to 2021. So, we’ve got the perfect thing to see this year out in style!
Following the heritage of Levantine cooking, from Israel to Cyprus and Jordan, Ceru’s new Cook at Home Range brings the story of travel and culture from the Mediterranean region to your kitchen. The new delivery service will offer four unique DIY kits, including chicken shish, lamb shoulder, beef fillet and a vegan feast. All meal kits will arrive wrapped in a stylish silk cloth, inspired by the beautiful geometric tiles of the Levant and other distinctive Middle Eastern motifs.
Tried and tested by us, we chose to cook the lamb shoulder, and we chose right! Delivered in a beautiful wrapping cloth – that can also be reused in many different ways – the dining experience with feel good food began.
I’m no chef, so hoping to do all of the ingredients justice was a challenge, but the accompanying recipe card made the process seamless and enjoyable – not a combination I usually experience in the kitchen.
Beef Fillet: Cook at home with CERU this NYE
When you unpack it from the scarf, you may think it doesn’t look like a lot of food, but don’t be deceived – we had plenty of leftovers. The lamb shoulder was beautifully dresses with aromatic Shawarma spices and came with a fresh, vibrant pomegranate sauce and fresh mint and pistachio garnish.
The accompaniments of potato and zucchini & feta fritters gave us the authentic Greek experience, but if you’re the person at the table who takes care of ordering the side orders, you might want to make a traditional Greek Salad, or maybe add some olives, vine leaves, or picky bits of your choice.
The finished product was a delicious dinner for two, with restaurant quality produce and taste. But there’s not just land to pick from – CERU offer a variety of dishes to cook at home.
