The Dirty Dancing Tour Is Jumping Back Up North!

Calling all northerners, if you missed your chance to see the iconic stage production of Dirty Dancing at the Manchester Palace Theatre, then there is no need to fear! The Dirty Dancing tour group will be strutting their way to the Blackpool Opera house on the 29th August until the 2nd of September.

If you haven’t got your tickets yet and you are either a theatre or Dirty Dancing film fan, then what are you waiting for? The popular theatre piece is almost an exact replica of the film (they even get in the water!) and the dancing is out of this world!

But the one question I’m sure everyone wants to know is do they do the lift?! I can reveal that YES they do the popular film lift and it is outstanding! They made it look so easy but I can assure you it is not, so definitely don’t try to replicate this move at home unless you want to end up like this..

Fans of the film can expect expert dancing, incredible singing from the entire cast, particularly from Sophia Mackay who plays Elizabeth and some tasteful nudity from some divine men.

One of my favourite parts is actually the insanely talented dancing throughout the show by Carlie Milner and Lewis Griffiths who play the role of Penny and Johnny. In fact, their dancing was so incredible I felt like I was watching the professionals on Strictly come dancing!

We also see the rather amusing talent show before the grand finale, with some interesting singing from Lisa (played by Lizzie Ottley). Also, thanks to the amazing set design and lighting effects we are transported to both the forest with the Log and the lake where they practice their dance lifts.

The show, which is currently touring down south in Crawley and Bournemouth, has only 5 more venue stops before their grand finale in Liverpool Empire on the 18th-23rd September.

So if you want to have an amazing night full of top level entertainment and some enjoyable eye candy then book online before tickets become sold out, you won’t regret it!
