International superstar Lionel Richie took to the Eden Sessions stage in front of the world-famous Biomes for this year’s Eden Sessions
The star, whose classic hits include Hello, Dancing on the Ceiling and All Night Long, played two sell-out shows at Eden in July 2016. The concerts were hailed as among the greatest in the history of the Sessions.
His song catalogue also includes his early work with The Commodores, where he developed a ground-breaking style that defied genre categories, penning smashes such as Three Times a Lady, Still, and Easy.
Gabrielle
Iconic British singer-songwriter Gabrielle joined Lionel Richie on the night. The show comes as Gabrielle celebrates 30 years since the release of her debut single Dreams which spent three weeks at number one in the summer of 1993.
Also for this year’s Eden Sessions were viral rock sensation Yungblud (June 10), top USA rockers The War on Drugs (June 18), American singer-songwriter Jack Johnson (June 23), Southern Californian, Grammy-nominated Incubus (June 24) with a crowd that was loving the performance on a Cornish summer’s evening in front of the Biomes.

The iconic Pet Shop Boys performed (June 28), and the awesome Kasabian (July 1), who wowed the crowd with Kasabian classics.

Platinum-selling singer-songwriter Anne-Marie (July 7) and legendary rock band The Who (July 25).

After so many years of performing the Who have still got it with Pete Townsend aggressively attacking his Fender Strat while Roger Daltrey does his trademark microphone twirls.

In September 2019 the Eden Project and global live events company AEG Presents announced a new partnership, Eden Sessions Ltd, to run the Eden Sessions.
In September last year Volvo Car UK announced a new three-year partnership as the Official Automotive Partner of the Eden Project and the Eden Sessions music concerts, a deal brokered by AEG Global Partnerships.
This long-term collaboration aims to inspire and educate visitors about people’s relationship with the environment and how we can protect the planet to create a safer future.
