The Font’s 15th Birthday Party ~ Sunday 30th August: 9pm-1am
On Sunday 30th August, The Font, Manchester will be celebrating its 15th birthday. In recent years, we’ve seen the emergence of a buoyant and healthy bar culture in the city centre, but many of them come and go. With that in mind, the fact that a decade and a half after opening, The Font remains hugely successful, is a real achievement and cause for celebration.

The Font’s vibrant, arty and quirky interior makes it unique, like nowhere else in the city centre. Its longevity is due in no small part to its relaxed atmosphere, friendly staff and excellent value menu. The Font has always been proud to support and showcase local art as well, so all this, together with a history of great DJs, has helped to create a winning combination.

Creative atmosphere: The Font have always been happy to showcase local art work.

Leading up to the birthday party, The Font has been offering treats and deals for its customers every day for 15 days: food/drink freebies and offers, plus loads of other goodies, including limited edition prints designed by cartoonist, Tony Husband.

So, on Sunday 30th August ~ on the actual party night itself ~ there’ll be LOTS of offers and treats up for grabs such as: party bags; free’birthday shots’; buy-one-get-one-free ‘birthday Martinis’…plus there will be party hats, glowsticks, badges and temporary tattoos…all given out for free.

The Font’s longest standing DJ, Serae will be playing tunes from 9pm and the bar will be open till 1am. It’ll be a great party night ~ not to be missed (and don’t forget it’s Bank Holiday Monday the following day)!

The Font opened in 2000 primarily as a student venue, along with its sister bar in Liverpool. It then successfully strove to appeal to a wider customer base, which led to the opening of Fallowfield and then Chorlton.

The popular bar has been featured several times in The Good Beer Guide; been included in The Guardian in 2013 as one of Manchester’s top 10 craft beer pubs; featured in the Manchester Evening News in 2015 as one of Greater Manchester’s best craft beer bars and real ale pubs; listed in CAMRA as Cider Pub of The Year’ (Trafford & Hulme) in 2012 & 2013 (with this accolade since being won by The Font, Chorlton in 2014 & 2015)!

Renowned for its unrivalled affordable cocktail menu, which took off in 2004, The Font launched the ever-popular £2 range. Over the years the cocktail menu has developed to include a wider selection to cater to all tastes.
