One lucky couple will get the marriage proposal of a lifetime this Valentine’s Day, as The Lowry Hotel gives a helping hand to someone planning to pop the question.
The five-star venue is offering a luxurious stay for two, creating the perfect scene to secure that special ‘yes’. The stay will include a romantic meal at the hotel’s River Bar and Restaurant, where the lovebirds will enjoy the locally-sourced produce on the menu and a bottle of champagne on the house. Members of staff will play a key part in the proposal, being on hand for advice and ensuring all goes to plan for the proposer’s big moment. The city-centre hotel, which has undergone a £4m refurbishment, will provide a romantic back drop from its art-filled walls to the beautiful bedrooms, guaranteeing a dreamy date for the winning pair.
Potential proposers simply need to email the hotel expressing why this is the perfect opportunity for themselves and their loved one – in no more than 150 words. The person with the most romantic story will then win the premiere proposal and be given the golden opportunity to get down on one knee.
Adrian Ellis, The Lowry Hotel’s general manager, said: “This is a prime location for a proposal, and every Valentine’s Day our staff discover marriage proposals during the evening. This year we would love to help someone create that magical moment for their loved one. A special a la carte Valentine’s Day menu will be on offer along with a suite for the evening. Everything will be complimentary, allowing the proposer to be at ease in the setting, and the staff will help in every way that they can.”
The Lowry Hotel has also created a special package for those looking to celebrate Valentine’s Day in style. Available between 12th-14th February for £289, couples can enjoy an overnight stay, champagne and oysters in The River Bar along with breakfast the next day.
The restaurant will also be offering a romantic Valentine’s menu in the restaurant across the 12th-14th February, priced at £80 per person.
