Amber Broos, a burgeoning DJ hailing from Belgium, exudes an unwavering passion for music.
Commanding a monthly slot on Tomorrowland’s esteemed radio station, One World Radio, she immerses herself in the art of music production, continually refining her sound.
In a momentous stride, Amber marked her entry into Tomorrowland’s illustrious record label, Tomorrowland Music, in May 2023 with her electrifying release ‘Amok’. This milestone was swiftly followed by a collaborative EP alongside The Subs, titled ‘The Pulse’, cementing her status as a rising luminary in the electronic music scene.
Amber took centre stage at Tomorrowland Winter 2024 and stole the spotlight, captivating the audience as she closed Frozen Lotus. The venue was at maximum capacity, and Amber had the crowd completely entranced, effortlessly guiding our energy and enthusiasm with her expert mixing and distinctive blend of house and techno.
E.M.A had the opportunity to catch up with Amber and ask her about her experience at the festival…
E.M.A – You live in Belgium, I’ve been there a couple of times, and love it. For those who haven’t experienced it, how would you paint a picture of Belgium?
Amber – Belgium is the best place in the world, the Belgium people are like a rave spirit, and the city has got big party vibes. I will always live there.
E.M.A – You’ve been a fixture at Tomorrowland for a couple of years now. How did Tomorrowland discover you?
Amber – It was quite a coincidence, Tomorrowland was looking for new young talented artists and asked these guys at a local agency, who knew me very well, who would you recommend, they said we like Amber maybe you should check her out. I went for a meeting with the guys at Tomorrowland then everything just went so fast from then on. I am very very grateful for everything that happened is insane is like the biggest dream come true, and I am very happy.
E.M.A – Taking the stage at the Cage tonight, what vibes are you bringing to your set?
Amber – It’s going to be quite heavy because the Cage is like this dark place where you want to rave, it’s going to be heavy but it’s also going to be very me, I always put Belgium classic tracks in my sets. I’ll also be playing some new tracks that I’ve just discovered that aren’t officially out yet and some remixes of my own that I have been working on from Belgium bands.
E.M.A – What’s your trademark move behind the DJ decks?
Amber – People always say I do the Dab move with my arms haha!
E.M.A – If you could step into the shoes of any other DJ on the Tomorrowland Winter lineup, who would it be?
Amber – That’s a difficult question because I like myself, self-love is very important haha! If I picked someone else it would definitely be KOLSCH, he’s such an amazing person, he has a heart of gold and I’ve always looked up to him.
E.M.A – How’s your Tomorrowland Winter experience shaping up so far?
Amber – I’m loving it, There are such cool vibes, and it’s so nice that all the artists and people of Tomorrow are in the same village for a week so I’m getting to know different artists that I’ve never met before and partying with them, plus I’m going paragliding for the first time.
