You Got The Love – Candi Staton, Frankie Knuckles remix

This is one of my ultimate house tunes I love to play in my set. It’s an old-skool floor filler that gets everyone going on the dance floor, the original is great but the Frankie Knuckles’ version is just brilliant.

Nobody To Love – Sigma

Back in my Bournemouth days, when I was sixteen, I used to live for Drum and Base. Since coming back from the Snowbombing festival this year, I’ve totally got back into it! This tune from Sigma is a bit more commercial than the Drum and Base I used to listen to but I love it!

Soul Makossa (Money) (Club Mix) – Yolanda Be Cool, Dcup

This is my favourite tune to play in my funky house set at the moment. It’s such a happy, uplifting tune, the original was good but I think this version is even better. The rhythm of the sax just makes me want to get up and shake my booty.

Go Far – Rudimental (feat. Will Heard)

Anybody that knows me would know that there is no way I could put together an iPod set without having Rudi in it, ha ha! They are my favourite band ever! Feel The Love has always been my number one tune of theirs but at the moment I’m loving ‘Go Far’ from the new album ‘We The Generation.’

Mesmerise – Will Atkinson & Rowetta

Will Atkinson is all kinds of talent when it comes to Trance music. Mesmerise is his latest release with Rowetta from The Happy Mondays. Her powerful voice goes ridiculously well with the Trance beats on this track. It’s such a dance anthem; get your glow sticks out and turn this trance tune up loud!

Where Did The Love Go – Bipolar Sunshine

This tune is very close to my heart. It was one of my best friend’s (Rachel Reed aka Crazy Frog) favourite tunes. Sadly, she took her life at the beginning of the year and Adio Marchant sang it at her memorial service. Every time I listen to it, I remember all the good times I had with Crazy Frog.

The Seed (2.0) -The Roots

I heard a DJ playing this tune the other day and I forgot how much I loved it. It’s just a sexy cool funky tune. I used to groove to it with my mates in Shakira – my Suzuki Jeep – roof down en route to Bournemouth beach.

Not Nineteen Forever -The Courteeners

The Courteeners at Heaton Park this summer was, in my eyes, the biggest gig of the year in Manchester; sold out in seconds! ‘Not Nineteen Forever’ reminds me of when I first moved up to Manchester in 2006 and seeing them at the Ritz for the first time.
