LUCKY enough to be invited along to one of the hottest VIP events in Manchester last night, VIVA went along to the launch of Missguided’s brand new perfume ‘Babe Power’, and were delighted by the sassy, chic and downright awesomeness of it all!

In celebration of their new fragrance debut Missguided celebrated their collaboration with Per-scent, an industry leading perfumer, revealing a ‘sexy and effortless’ scent.

Hosted by Vital Management and Publicity Agency in Manchester,  the event took place at Menagerie Bar & Restaurant, a popular hotspot for events and local celebrities to hangout and was equipped with every possible thing that pops into your head when you think of Missguided- young, fun and girly.

With everything from the champagne reception on arrival, to the sweet station, quirky cocktails (one was called ‘unicorn tears’) and canapés floating around the room, the night was a perfect way to introduce the Manchester company’s new business venture.

“BABE POWER is the embodiment of the iconic Missguided brand with its scent designed to evoke a feeling of strength, confidence and femininity,” says the company.

“Nittan Passi, Founder + CEO of Missguided explains:- “We are very excited to be launching our first fragance, BABE POWER. It has been a pleasure working with an experienced company like Per-scent who have an in-depth knowledge of the fragrance market and have proven to be an invaluable partner for this project.”

The perfume itself, which comes in a luxe rose-gold chrome can was distinctive around the venue, with its’ ring pull spray button and ‘press for good vibes’ slogan, something which the company explains, saying: “The design captures the very essence of the brand which aims to be fun, different and bold.”

As the room began to fill up with a selection of beautiful people, who had all come to see the latest addition to the Missguided empire, Gypsy Shrine a company whose aim is to turn all free spirits into fine pieces of art unleashed an explosion of face and body glitter upon the guests- adding to the essence of the event.

Amongst the guestlist were various celebrities, including many familiar faces from Coronation Street, such as Cath Tyldesley, Katie Mcglynn, Tisha Merry, Sair Khan, Bhavna Limbachia, Nikki Sanderson and many others, who could be seen enjoying the launch and entertainment provided.

Entertainment for the evening consisted of DJ Helen Holt, a Beyonce themed dance routine, a fire breather and a burlesque dancer- all who wowed the crowd with their performances and kept the evening vibrant.

As guests left, they were treated to a goodie bag, which consisted of a full size version of the perfume, sweets and a  Menagerie Restaurant discount card, which were of course delivered in baby pink bags with tissue paper and the logo on the front.

The night didn’t end there, as the after party got in fill swing, the room emptied out and the Menagerie Bar turned up the music with a selection of old school classics.

Ending the night like any VIVA girl should, we got into the luxury bathtub, equipped with champagne and hats- Missguided this is why we love you…
