VIVA’S ultimate spring/summer beauty essentials

VIVA Team | 8th April 2020

Finally, springtime has blooming arrived. Unquestionably, most of us living in the UK are enjoying a much-awaited dose of sunshine and vitamin D as part of our latest beauty regime.

With warmer temperatures on the rise means a change in our beauty routines come spring/summer, like swapping out heavy creams for lighter moisturisers, softer scents and colours that match summer tones.

Here’s VIVA’s recommends the best beauty essentials that we’ve tried and tested and that gets our vote.

Erborian BB Crayon

This is a superb all-rounder! Not only does this mighty crayon improve skin leaving it baby soft, it moisturises whilst providing fantastic coverage and reduces the early signs of ageing. Now, this is a powerful statement for just one product, but it works especially at covering those skin imperfections – I love it! Erborian Korean Skin Therapy, £23

Juliette Has A Gun Superdose Alpha

I am in LOVE with this perfume which is now my current favourite. Without a doubt, it was the name that first caught my attention, and my intuition was spot on! This brand is more than cool! ‘Juliette intrigues the world. Armed with her perfume, the Shakespearean heroine goes wild’. Not a Perfume is a clean, pure, unique scent with a musky undertone and very sensual. Suited for any occasion, day or night. John Lewis, £110

Lipstick Queen

Everyone seeks desirable lips that are bold and colourful and I couldn’t start spring without wearing a bright shade of colour. I am all over this long-lasting, vitamin enriching, hi-shine innovative lip gloss which gives you a bold pop of colour without being sticky. My lips are currently addicted to the shade – Lustrous Bright Plum.  Space NK, £22

Make your own palette by M.A.C

When I think of M.A.C, they’re always on top of make-up trends and I adore these new customisable colour palettes. They bring fun into your life by experimenting with bold colour combinations inspired by Jamaica’s Atlantic Blue Seas, Seoul’s Passionate neon-lit alleyways and beyond. You can now create looks as unique as your travels!  World Duty Free

Herbae L’Occitane

I’m not usually a fan of flower-scented perfumes, but this one reminds me of everything lovely about springtime enclosed in a bottle. It’s like when someone first gets out of the shower and they smell super clean. I love that moment and I know it sounds simple, but this perfume reminds me of that. It’s a modern and delicate fragrance interlaced with white clover and wild grasses – perfect for a garden party on a sunny day. L’Occitine, £52

Eve Lom Biodegradable Rescue Peel Pads

These rescue pads are amazing just after one use, they left me with noticeably softer skin feeling healthy and hydrated. They exfoliated away my dead skin, leaving me with a brighter complexion. Today it is so important to highlight that they are also environmentally friendly and 100% biodegradable! Space NK, £60

Biossance Squalane + Lactic Acid Resurfacing Night Serum

Biossance Squalane is about to launch a new addition to their vegan and sustainable beauty range and will be on sale to the public in mid-April. I was eager to pre-review these products, and my favourite of them all was the Lactic Acid Resurfacing Night Serum. It gave my skin a much-deserved moisture boost, absorbed quickly with a non-greasy feel, and the next morning my skin was soft and smooth. Cult Beauty, £56

bareMinerals Complexion Rescue Tinted Moisturiser

bareMinerals has been a fundamental key to my beauty routine for the past ten years. I am a mega-fan of their award-winning foundations which always provide me with the coverage I want, whilst looking au naturel. With temperatures rising, we require a light foundation base with sun protection and the Complexion Rescue Tinted Moisturiser is a must-have. This combines all the hydrating skincare benefits, a radiant glow, natural-looking coverage and sun protection of SPF 30. bareMinerals Nationwide, £29
