Warm up in winter at The Forge with a steak night dinner for two

What’s cosier than sharing a great bottle of wine and a superb steak with a loved one?
Well, The Forge in Chester is catering to the most carnivorous couples with their new sharing steak dinner that’s available now for only £99!
It’s perfect for the dark winter evenings when the weather is cold and frosty outside?!
Situated in Hotel Indigo on Grosvenor Park Road, the restaurant provides a true sensory experience from start to finish.
The offer includes any steak to share (up to 800 grams) and is complete with any choice of three sides: radishes and beans in a shallot butter; creamed spinach; hispi, parsley and crispy onion; triple cooked chips; or their signature dirty mash.
Available Monday and Tuesday, the steak night dinner is a great way to put a little sizzle back into weekdays and the meal includes a complimentary bottle of red, white, or rosé, depending on your mood. Delightful!
Of course, the sharing steak is available for any two people who want to dig in and you can even choose to ‘go big’ by increasing the weight of your steak for cooking for a supplementary fee.
Front of house, the vibrant young team are full of enthusiasm and chefs cook over wood and charcoal, using amazing wild and locally reared meat.
Incredible dry-aged beef and venison are on show in the maturation cabinets, waiting their turn to be lovingly grilled and roasted over oak and beech logs.
The ambience of ‘live-cooking’ is front and centre in the middle of an elegant space, with a deep dark green colour scheme, duck egg blue, copper and there’s plenty of marble throughout this cosy and seriously-cool restaurant.
There are three leather booths for a more intimate dining experience as well as a private dining area. Antlers hang from the wall along with an abundance of foliage from the ceiling in line with the restaurant’s outdoor theme.
The knowledge of its staff and their enthusiasm and passion for sustainable wild food impressed VIVA, there’s certainly something for all types of foodies at The Forge.
The menu is priced at £99 for two and includes the sharing steak, a bottle of house wine, and three sides to share, with an option to upgrade the wine for £10.
Opening hours are from Monday to Thursday 12:15-14:45 for lunch and 18:00-21:30 dinner although Saturday and Sundays differ: 12:15-15:00 for lunch and 18:00-20:30 for dinner.
