British Science Week

Saturday Playhouse

Saturday Playhouse is a free and weekly art activity for children and their families in our dedicated Lookout space for families.

Each week we Lookout for what we can see both inside and outside, taking inspiration from our theatres, galleries and surrounding landscape at Salford Quays and MediaCityUK.

Every Saturday morning there is something new to do so check out the Lowry website for what we’ll be up to each time!

Body Experience 2017

Researchers from across the Faculty of Biology, Medicine and Health at The University of Manchester will take over the Museum from top to bottom, allowing you to explore the human body from head to toe!

Interactive stands and activities for all the family will include a range of activities from making your own mucus, testing wee to learn how the kidneys work, holding real hearts and learning how milk is made.

Muddy Fingers Fete

Come along and be part of a family friendly survey of what was once there using geo-physical mapping with experts from the University of Salford Archaeology Department.

Discover fascinating stories with the Muddy Fingers Archaeologists. Beauty And The Beast

Its opening week for Beauty and the Beast and your Belle fans may enjoy a trip to the cinema this weekend.

The film starring Emma Watson, Dan Stevens, Emma Thompson and Sir Ian McKellen, is remake of the 1991 animation classic.
