A wedding day is undoubtedly one of the most important days in a person’s life. From the venue to the flower arrangements, everything needs to be perfect! One quintessential aspect is choosing the right cake.
And being famous and rich is a massive advantage when getting the best of the best!
Experts have analysed some of the most extravagant celebrity wedding cakes and estimated the prices that were paid.
Just how much are celebrities willing to pay for a perfect wedding cake? A lot.
Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas spent approximately £15,000 on their wedding cake!
The least frugal celebrity couple are by far Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas who spent an estimated £15,000 on their wedding cake. That’s more than double the price Kim Kardashian and Kanye West paid for their wedding cake! Their massive cake, with detailed gold decoration, was a true masterpiece.

How much would a cake made for a princess cost?
Second on the list is none other than the elegant 1950’s actress Grace Kelly. Her wedding to Rainier III, Prince of Monaco, was the epitome of a fairy tale wedding – and the cake was no exception. While the tiers are not very tall, there was a lot of work put into decorating it, making it a true piece of art which believe to have cost around £10,000.
Royals DO put a price on happiness. Especially if it comes in the form of a £6,500 cake. At least, this is how much it is estimated that Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank’s wedding cake cost. The bottom tier is shaped delicately, and its design consists of hand painted lettering, making it the most expensive part of the cake.
The wedding of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry was of much interest, not only due to the status of the couple but also due to some nonconformist choices they made, one of them being their wedding cake. While simple, the rustic look and fresh flowers gave it a very elegant look, and estimates to have cake cost approximately £2,900.

From Love Island to the altar, Olivia Buckland and Alex Bowen make the top 10 list!
Even if they didn’t win Love Island, they won each other. The happy couple ended up getting married and their seven-tier wedding cake came complete with handmade sugar paste flowers and gold painting. It is estimated this cake cost £3,500.
How to get a celebrity wedding cake for less?
Jackandbeyond’s bespoke cake consultant Sophia Zimmer had the following tips for those who want a spectacular wedding cake but don’t have a celebrity budget:
“When it comes to wedding cakes, the taller the cake, the higher the price. Having double tiers or many layers will bring up the cost. If you are worried that a smaller cake might not feed all your guests, you can get around this by ordering some additional cutting cakes of the same flavour. You can even go for individual cakes only and get a beautiful cake stand to display them.
“Frosting is your friend! Frosted or half naked tiers are often more moderately priced than the equivalent covered in Sugar Paste or Marzipan. Frosting can also easily be textured to play with the effect.
“Another tip if you want a gorgeous cake but you’re on a budget is to keep it simple. The more (handmade) decorative elements you add to the cake, the more it will cost. You can create very elegant looking cakes with relatively simple elements. Fresh flowers for example, even just a few, always look great and can be matched to your table decorations or theme for the wedding. You can also combine them with greenery and / or fresh fruit and your cake will look stunning!
“Look for a bakery that offers a Wedding Cake Consultation Service. A good Wedding Cake Consultant will be able to design a cake with you that matches your budget, looks great and is unique to you and your wedding. Feel free to bring in colour samples or ideas for inspiration, but be realistic, not everything you can find on the internet actually works on a real cake.”
