It’s the perfect place to indulge in some of the world’s best cuisine in one of the most picturesque locations.

 

Eat your way around the world at one of the many restaurants that offer gastronomic experiences on the island of Ibiza from VIVA’s hot list and then go dance off the calories later!

 

Mediterranean | Rustic Mediterranean cuisine in the heart of Santa Gertrudis at Finca La Plaza

 

 

Set in the main square of the village Santa Gertrudis beneath a canopy of trees and stars, Finca La Plaza encapsulates the soul of Ibiza. Walking past fig and olive trees with the air smelling of rosemary and thyme, a wooden gate welcomes guests in to the garden of the centuries-old Ibicenco house, which has been transformed into a spacious eatery. The newly revised menu showcases an array of Spanish, Italian and French dishes with a unique Ibiza twist.

 

All ingredients are local where possible with something to satisfy all appetites. Start with the sweet potato and ginger soup with gorgonzola and then indulge in the burrata ravioli with creamy courgette and fresh mint.

It’s a stand-out gastronomic experience from Spanish chef and holder of ten Michelin stars, Martín Berasategui, in the new BLESS Hotel Ibiza. The name of the restaurant means ‘home-made’ in Basque, Martín Berasategui takes guests on a journey through his origins in the old part of San Sebastián with culinary creations based on products from the sea and the countryside. His menu is a tribute to nature’s natural larder and to Spanish gastronomy.  The result is a new culinary concept that exhibiting the fruits of 44 years of experience.

 

Asian | Explore bespoke Asian cuisine with a Mediterranean flare at Minami 

 

 

At the Ushuaïa Ibiza Beach Hotel, enjoy the sophistication of the Asian restaurant existing between two worlds: East and West Asia. Bamboo walls, contemporary art and mirrored pools lead to an exotic experience. The perfect combination between Japanese and Mediterranean cooking.

 

On the menu there is sushi and sashimi, as well as teppanyaki, noodles, and suggestive vanguard creations that evoke the flavours of both Japanese and Mediterranean cuisine.  Minami Japanese Restaurant is located just behind the Ushuaïa Ibiza Beach Hotel stage, so joining the party is a very short walk away.

 

Levantine | New wave of cuisine comes to Ibiza this summer with Levantine restaurant at Mikasa

 

 

Mikasa, a 16 bedroom boutique hotel known for its panoramic views overlooking the iconic UNESCO site of Dalt Vila, has opened it’s roof terrace for evening chill-out sessions with cocktails and tapas. From the terrace guests can overlook the glittering waters of Marina Botafoch as the sun sets while sipping on cocktails and indulging in a selection of traditional tapas before descending to the onsite Levantine restaurant.

 

The menu promises a journey that transports guests into the very heart of the bustling medinas found on the southeast corner of the Mediterranean. Start with smoked aubergine topped with pomegranate and parsley, which is well followed with the indulgent saffron flavoured muscles.

 

Vegan | Ushuaïa Ibiza beach hotel adds new vegan menu to the unexpected breakfast for summer 2019

 

 

Ushuaïa Ibiza Beach Hotel’s popular brunch concept, The Unexpected Breakfast, is offering new and refreshed food stations for summer 2019, adding more healthy options and vegan dishes for party-goers looking to recover from the night before, or fuel up for the day ahead.

 

New additions for this year include a dedicated vegan food station, a smoothie area with vitamin-boosted juices and shakes, a make-your-own poke bowl stall, and ‘the healthy table’ with new continental breakfast dishes and updated gluten-free products.

 

Other new items include six different flavours of doughnuts at the Circus Candy, whole deli-style cheeses at Little Italy and crepes and waffles in a Belgium area. The Unexpected Breakfast runs every day from 8 – 11.30am and is priced at 50€ per person.

 

Immersive food experience | New creative experts join the line-up for Sublimotion

 

For its sixth season, the world’s leading gastronomic performance Sublimotion at Hard Rock Hotel Ibiza has built on its experience of the last five years to create a brand new dining concept that expands the realms of art. Chef Paco Roncero and his partner, creative director Eduardo Gonzales have invited great talents from the world of gastronomy, technology, cinema, magic, music, design and engineering to join the Sublimotion team.

 

Some of today’s most prestigious chefs in the world have been brought together by Roncero for 2019, tasked with bringing a new look to this innovative gastronomic show.

 

This development will immerse the 12 guests in a completely virtual environment, where they can interact and taste haute cuisine in a real way. Engineers, designers and programmers work together to enhance the pleasure of enjoying haute cuisine, opening the way to previously never-seen formats.

 

Sublimotion takes place on select evenings at Hard Rock Hotel Ibiza over the summer months.
